NHC Strengthens Its Partnership with France's «EDF» in Energy and Sustainability Solutions

Memorandum of Understanding signed on the sidelines of the Saudi-French Roundtable on the Development of Sustainable Energy, Electrical Infrastructure, and Carbon Credits in NHC Projects.

NHC signed a memorandum of understanding with the French energy solutions company «EDF» on the sidelines of the Saudi – French Investment Roundtable, which was attended by a select group of leaders, investors, and decision-makers, coinciding with the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to the French Republic.

The MoU comes as part of NHC’s efforts to support the development of international economic relations, expand investment opportunities, and build high-quality partnerships, in coordination with the Ministry of Investment and the Saudi Investment Marketing Authority. It also aims to establish the foundations and principles governing future cooperation between the two parties, thereby contributing to the achievement of their shared goals and the promotion of their interests in a number of areas related to energy, sustainability, andinfrastructure.

Areas of cooperation between NHC and EDF include carbon credits, energy and lighting solutions, the development of electrical infrastructure, solar energy, as well as investment in electric vehicle charging stations in public spaces. The partnership aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs at NHC destinations, facilities, and assets, as well as to develop electrical infrastructure and implement solar energy projects, thereby supporting the efficiency and sustainability of these destinations.

Areas of cooperation also include expanding the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in public spaces, enhancing destinations" readiness to accommodate these solutions, as well as identifying and documenting carbon credits generated by the company’s projects, creating an accurate carbon footprint database, and conducting feasibility studies on investment opportunities related to this sector.
Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Bati, CEO of NHC, participated in the Saudi-French Investment Roundtable, which brought together a number of Saudi leaders, investors, and decision-makers from both countries, where participants reviewed investment opportunities in the housing and real estate development sector and discussed prospects for cooperation and partnership with the French side in the fields of energy, sustainability, and infrastructure.

This participation reflects NHC’s commitment to expanding its presence in the international investment landscape and strengthening partnerships that support the development of integrated urban destinations combining real estate development with sustainability and modern energy solutions.
NHC continues to develop integrated urban projects focused on improving quality of life and providing diverse housing solutions that meet families" aspirations, as part of its efforts to support the objectives of the housing program and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The company aims to reach 600,000 housing units by 2030, thereby strengthening its role in developing the housing sector and supporting the growth of cities and urban destinations in the Kingdom.
