Since its launch in 2018, the Developmental Housing Program of the Association for Adults with Mobility Disabilities (Haraki) has enabled 152 beneficiaries with mobility disabilities to obtain suitable housing, thereby enhancing their family and social stability and improving their quality of life.
The program is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Development Housing Programs, and aims to provide suitable housing for beneficiary families through the purchase housing units or by constructing them.
The association’s executive director, Mohammed bin Saad Al-Hamali, explained that a specialized team is responsible for reviewing cases, assessing needs, and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure that support reaches the families most in need.
He emphasized that the program reflects “Harakiya’s” approach toward transitioning from providing assistance to fostering empowerment and sustainable stability, noting that developmental housing is one of the association’s key programs within a package of social, health, educational, rehabilitative, and empowerment services.
