Construction of a new bridge on Othman Bin Affan Road at the intersection with Anas Bin Malik Road in Riyadh

The development work on Othman Bin Affan Road continues in the northern part as part of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City’s efforts to develop the ring and main road axes and raise the efficiency of the road network. Currently, a bridge is being constructed at its intersection with Anas Bin Malik Road, along with improvements to the road lanes, which will contribute to raising the efficiency of traffic flow and enhancing its smoothness in the north of the capital.
These construction works will be accompanied by the activation of a traffic diversion at the intersection starting from September 27, 2026, as part of an integrated traffic plan in coordination with the Riyadh Region Traffic Department and the relevant authorities in the city, in order to ensure the continuity of traffic flow on the road during the implementation phases, and to reduce the impact on road users, while maintaining the highest safety standards.

The development project of the northern section of Othman Bin Affan Road extends for a length of 4.3 kilometers and includes the construction of 7 bridges and the improvement of road lanes, which will raise the road’s capacity to about 500,000 vehicles per day, and support the smooth flow of traffic, reduce travel time and improve the level of service.
The project comes within the framework of the program to develop the ring roads and main axes, which aims to raise the efficiency of the road network in the city of Riyadh and enhance the interconnection of its main axes, in order to support the urban and economic growth of the capital, and raise the quality of transportation, by implementing and developing more than 500 km of the road network in the capital, through the addition of new roads, raising the level of existing main axes, and activating their connection with each other.
