Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences is organizing preparations for the fourth Saudi Forum for Conferences and Exhibitions, which will be held from 13-15 Safar 1438 H, corresponding to 13-15 November 2016 in Medina.

The forum will be held for the fourth consecutive year, with the participation and sponsorship of a group of government agencies, and this year will discuss a number of topics, mainly the role of the meetings industry in supporting the national economy within the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as well as the strategies and plans of the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences to develop the organizational structure of the sector.

The fourth edition of the forum also reviews the map of exhibition and conference centers at the national level, and ways to activate their operation efficiently through independent operation from ownership, and the forum also highlights the Medina region by presenting its marketing as a destination for business tourism in general, and as a destination for Muslims in particular.

The forum will review international experiences and expertise in the field of developing the meetings industry and its role in developing the economy in general and tourism in particular, as well as developing the capabilities of owners and those responsible for organizing and supplying conferences and exhibitions in the Kingdom, strengthening communication channels between them and increasing the volume of investments in conference and exhibition projects. The forum will witness the holding of the "Saudi Associations Day" meeting in its third edition, which aims to develop the capabilities of professional, scientific and medical associations in the Kingdom to organize their conferences professionally and attract international associations to hold their meetings and conferences in the Kingdom.

The forum will also highlight the Madinah region through its proposal to promote it as a business tourism destination, in particular for Muslims.

This year's events include the second edition of the Future Leaders Meeting, which was initiated and supported by the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences, to be the first meeting in the Kingdom to bring together young people and students studying at universities and colleges specialized in tourism, events industry and public relations. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Saudi Forum for Conferences and Exhibitions to highlight the role of young people in leading the future of the exhibition and conference sector in the Kingdom and to form and qualify young professional leaders who work in the sector and promote it.
