Al Tayyar Travel Group was able to achieve a net profit in the second quarter of this year amounted to 301.8 million riyals, an increase of 23.74 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, and an increase of 38.57 percent compared to the previous quarter of this year.
The company said in a statement published today on the Capital Market website «Tadawul» that the net profit achieved during the first half of 2013 amounted to 520 million riyals compared to 397 million riyals in the same period last year, an increase of 30.98 percent, to reach earnings per share during the period 4.33 riyals compared to 3.31 riyals compared to the same period last year. Al Tayyar Group attributed the reasons for the increase in the second quarter compared to the same quarter last year and the first quarter of this year to the growth of sales by 19 percent, the increase in other operating revenues by 41 percent, the growth of sales by 17 percent, the growth of other operating revenues by 23 percent, the absence of a decrease in investee companies according to equity in this period compared to the previous period, in addition to the increase in sales by 7 percent and other operating revenues by 52 percent.
