<Following the normalization of security conditions in Turkey, Saudi Arabian Airlines announced the resumption of scheduled flights from its main stations Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina and Dammam to Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, less than 48 hours after the suspension of flights due to the recent events in Turkey, which led to the closure of its airports before the resumption of air traffic. Saudi Airlines currently operates 34 weekly one-way flights between Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Medina and Istanbul, and is preparing to restart direct flights to Ankara soon.
Official and unofficial Turkish authorities have announced that life in Turkey has returned to normal and that Arab tourists have not been affected by the events and are under the attention and care of the Turkish government, and the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Turkey has provided Saudi families in Turkey with the required assistance to overcome the difficulties that resulted from the events.
