Chinese delegation discusses e-commerce and economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia

The governments of the two countries aim to develop and support economic cooperation between the two parties by establishing the Silk Road Online E-Commerce Project between Saudi Arabia and China, and mutually selecting two cities on both sides to cooperate in the field of e-commerce.

The delegation discussed the development of the Silk Road Online E-Commerce Project.

During a recent meeting with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwail, the delegation discussed developing and enhancing aspects of cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two parties in the field of ICT applications, and pushing forward together to develop the Information Silk Road for the mutual benefit of both parties.

During the meeting, working teams were formed between the two parties to activate the terms of the agreement, which covers multiple topics, most notably: Using modern ICT applications in the fields of smart cities, smart energy networks, telemedicine, e-learning, ICT-related fields, such as broadband Internet networks, satellite services, cybersecurity, digital content, cloud computing, and other similar activities.
