The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) confirmed that it does not allow the use of land allocated for production and industrial projects and convert it into warehouses or keep it as a vacant land, which contradicts the original contract signed between the two parties, and stressed the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication Department in “MODON” Sami Al-Husseini that the industrial lands planned and developed by the state and spent millions of riyals on them are given for the purpose of establishing productive factories that benefit the national economy, and ”MODON” tries to close the way for any attempt to brokerage on state lands originally granted as industrial facilities.
In addition, the results adopted by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) in following up investors to ensure that the investor starts his industrial production has succeeded in rehabilitating stalled industrial projects, and has contributed significantly to reducing the rate of failure of industrial projects, and enhanced the achievement of the main objective of allocating subsidized industrial land at encouraging and competitive prices.
Also, the results pursued by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON” have led to the rehabilitation of stalled industrial projects.
Husseini explained that by applying the concept of following up the investor to ensure that his industrial production starts, the Authority was able to reduce the suspension of industrial land and keep it without production, which hinders economic and industrial growth and deprives other serious investors from benefiting from the industrial land, pointing out that the contract signed with the investor includes clauses that clarify the investor's rights and what he must do to achieve the main objective of allocating the project on the subsidized industrial land from the state.
Husseini explained that the Authority has succeeded in rehabilitating stalled industrial projects.
Husseini noted that "Modon" in cooperation with investors was able to solve all obstacles in front of stalled projects, and rehabilitated them to enter the production circle benefiting from all possible means of support.
