The Eastern Municipality succeeded in offering 38 investment sites in public auctions, representing the first batch of investment opportunities available in the region, for which envelopes will be opened during the period from 1-15 Muharram next month.

The Director General of the Investment Development Department at the Eastern Municipality, Engineer Ziad Al-Suwaidan, explained that most of this batch is directed to the land transportation sector in the region, where 32 sites, ranging in size from 5-9 thousand square meters, were offered as truck parking lots outside residential areas and on the edge of Dammam city.The sites are characterized by their proximity to the Dammam-Riyadh road, the second industrial city and the Municipality's industrial areas, which are dedicated to mixers, concrete and brick factories, as application for these opportunities is limited to those who have valid land transport licenses from the Ministry of Transport, while offering these sites comes to emphasize the importance of the land transport sector and its role in developing the economic movement in the region.Al-Suwaidan confirmed that the General Department of Investment Development is currently preparing another set of investment opportunities that will be offered after the blessed Eid al-Adha, and a third set will be offered at a later time, noting that this approach is an implementation of the transformation plan
