Riyad Bank renews its sponsorship of the StartUp program and supports entrepreneurs

Posted in

Riyad Bank has renewed its sponsorship and support for the Taif Startup Weekend program, organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), represented by the Badir Program for Technology Incubators and Accelerators, which took place at Okaz Al-Mustaqbal as part of the Okaz Market events over three days from August 11–13. This marks the program’s first time in Taif and its second this year, with the first having been held in Jazan.

The program is based on a competition among Saudi youth who have ideas for technology and industrial projects that qualify them to become successful entrepreneurs, by providing them with training from specialized experts on how to launch and manage their projects. At the conclusion of the program, the top three projects are selected and honored with cash prizes, in addition to receiving support from the best available expertise and resources.

For his part, Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, Executive Vice President of Marketing and General Supervisor of Community Service Programs at Riyad Bank, stated that Riyad Bank’s participation in sponsoring and supporting the Start-Up Weekend program for the second time this year stems from the bank’s commitment to standing alongside its young men and women with entrepreneurial ideas to encourage and motivate them.
