Haqeel stressed that the ministry is working on the implementation of other projects at the level of the region, such as the “Dahiyat Al-Asfar” project in Al-Ahsa Governorate, which aims to provide 100,000 housing units that have been signed with 5 qualified Chinese real estate development companies, as well as the “Tarut” and ”Safwa” projects in Qatif Governorate, which provide more than 10,000 housing units and were recently signed with two national companies with competence and experience in this sector, noting that the implementation of projects will continue through activating the partnership with the private sector adopted by the ministry after its transformation from being an implementer to supervisor and organizer.
Haqeel said: “We carefully follow the ministry's projects in the Eastern Province and all regions of the Kingdom, and we are always keen to know their progress and level of completion, in preparation for their distribution to citizens entitled to housing support, as the ministry previously handed over the Hafr Al-Batin housing project, which included 900 housing units, and the Khobar housing project is expected to be handed over within two months, as its completion rate reached about 951TP. The ministry will not stop at these projects, but will work to pump more to meet the need, support supply and enable demand at the level of the region, noting that the number of those eligible for housing support in the Eastern Province who applied on the electronic portal “Iskan” amounted to 169,455 male and female beneficiaries.
For his part, the head of the Eastern Province projects, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, praised the results and achievements, stressing at the same time the need to exert more effort in an effort to complete them as soon as possible and hand them over to eligible citizens, stressing the Ministry's keenness to inspect and follow up the progress of all its projects according to the time plans set for them.
The Minister of Housing started his inspection tour with the North Dammam Housing Project, which is divided into two parts, namely residential buildings with 1901 residential products with full facilities, and developed lands with 2088 plots of land for villas, complete with facilities and services, then he inspected the South Dammam Housing Project Al-Haqeel also visited the Khobar City Housing Project, which is located in the Al-Aziziyah area and includes 272 villas, with dedicated sites for service facilities and the availability of infrastructure services.
In Al-Ahsa Governorate, the Minister of Housing reviewed the latest technical and design studies for the ”Dahiyat Al-Asfar“ project, which aims to provide 100,000 housing units with a variety of options and high quality, then visited the ”Al-Mabariz“ housing project, which contains 116 housing units and 95 residential plots, and inspected the ”University Land" housing project, which includes 1518 developed residential plots, while the Al-Ahsa housing project located south of Hofuf city provides 500 housing units, with integrated services and infrastructure.
