The study and training at the College of Hospitality and Tourism in Taif Governorate will start next training year in the building of the Technical College until the completion of the project, which the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training has started to implement, as the final plans for the college project have been completed in preparation for putting it in a public competition in the coming weeks. This project is one of the most important projects to support the active tourism movement in Taif. The college aims to graduate cadres with a bachelor's degree in tourism, hotel and tourism guidance departments capable of participating in achieving the goals of tourism, economic and social development, conducting research, scientific studies and seminars that contribute to achieving the targeted development in the fields of tourism and hotels in addition to training and continuing education to raise the efficiency of workers in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, were recently briefed on a presentation made by the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghufais, on technical and vocational training projects in Taif Governorate, in addition to what has been achieved in the study of the project to establish the College of Hotel and Tourism in Taif, whose new site was chosen on Airport Road and the land of the Technical College in Taif to implement the project on the site to benefit from existing buildings in the site, and the site is characterized by its presence on the main axis of the city with the proximity of the tourism and hotel industry. Dr. Al-Ghufais revealed that the college offers all specializations in the field of hospitality and tourism specialties at a total cost of 100 million riyals, of which 70 million riyals were the cost of construction, while the cost of equipment amounted to 30 million riyals, and the construction of the college and supporting facilities takes about two years. The project includes a building for the College of Tourism and Hotel, a hotel building, an administrative building, a multi-use hall, a sports building, covered buildings, student housing, shops and supporting services.
