When the global system is hit by any upheavals or crises—whether manufactured or unexpected—the tsunami-like waves of that crisis will reach us, and its impact will affect us because we are a key part of the global system and, indeed, a major player in the global market economy. We must not forget the general principle that "good is specific, but evil is universal."
However, what sets our economy apart is its ability to weather any crisis, regardless of its circumstances or impact. This is because the Saudi economy has fortified itself in advance to face any potential crises similar to the one currently unfolding. A previous study noted that the economy of the Kingdom of can continue operating at the same pace even if not a single barrel of oil were exported for three consecutive years!!.
However, we must diversify our economic resources rather than relying solely on oil. Among these resources is the real estate market, which, in my view, is an important and vital pillar due to its connection to many sectors, such as construction, engineering, and interior design,, etc.
Imagine with me the resilience and importance of this market; yet, there are still some discordant voices calling for putting a spoke in its wheel and preventing it from taking off with full force, as if they do not care about the nation’s economy or the well-being of its citizens. To them and to those who support them, we say that assurances from government legislative bodies point to stability and even potential economic growth this year and in the years to come, God willing, and the massive development projects are the greatest proof of that.
Consequently, based on the above facts, we see that what we are experiencing is a (psychological) crisis created by our exposure to media that spreads nothing but discouraging news. We have ample capital, praise be to God, as well as brilliant minds, hard-working hands, vast lands, unique opportunities, and high demand. So what is stopping us from rallying our spirits, rolling up our sleeves,and start working hard to prove to the whole world that what we’re facing is nothing more than a passing summer cloud—that this crisis will… pass.
