The National Exhibitions and Conferences Program (NECP) showcased the Kingdom's capabilities in hosting international and specialized exhibitions, through its participation in the IMEX exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 16-18, 2017.
The IMEX exhibition, which was approved by the Supreme Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. IMEX, which was approved by the Supreme Council to participate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the program, is one of the most important international exhibitions specialized in attracting international meetings, conferences and exhibitions, marketing suppliers' services and highlighting the elements of business tourism in international destinations.
The exhibition is held annually. The exhibition is held annually on an area of 33,000 square meters with the participation of more than 3,500 exhibitors from 150 countries representing exhibition and conference authorities in many countries of the world, exhibition and conference companies, destination management companies, specialized associations, specialized publishing companies, specialized technology companies, and international hotel companies. More than 4,900 specialists and more than 14,400 visitors attend the exhibition annually.
The National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences, hosted by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, seeks to take advantage of participation in the exhibition to market the Kingdom as a promising destination for international meetings, conferences and exhibitions and to introduce the products, services and destinations of business events in the Kingdom and the investment opportunities available in this field, in addition to seeking to build fruitful relationships between companies, associations and organizations in the Kingdom and their international counterparts, and learn about best practices and pioneering international experiences to apply them at the local level.
The National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences, which is hosted by the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, is in charge of the exhibition. <The National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences organizes the Kingdom's pavilion at the exhibition in cooperation with the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Germany and the Saudi Consulate General in Frankfurt, with the participation of 16 private sector companies, including Saudi Telecom Company, Riyadh International Center for Exhibitions and Conferences, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, Reed Al-Sunaidi Exhibitions Company, Al-Mukhtasir Group, Aali Exhibition Organization, Saudi Exhibition and Conference Organization Company, Three Dimensions for Organizing Fairs and Conferences, Marcum Comprehensive Marketing, Innovative Organizers for Organizing Events and Higher Execution Corporation.
