The Ministry of Housing continued its efforts to raise the capabilities of its cadres national real estate, as Housing Minister Majid Al-Hogail signed a memorandum of cooperation with Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Fahid, Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, to provide distinctive training programs in the fields of real estate and construction at its headquarters in Riyadh.

Enriching the real estate sector

Minister of Housing Majid Al-Hogail stressed that this agreement and partnership with the Technical Training Corporation comes from the importance of the housing sector in the country as a tributary in evaluating and enriching the real estate sector, as we seek in the ministry to set the basic rules for a strategic cooperation framework between the government and private sectors, especially in the field of training in professions related to the real estate and construction fields within the responsibilities of both parties, to contribute to providing distinguished training for citizens, qualifying them scientifically and technically, and ensuring them suitable jobs.

Creating a qualified national base

Haqeel said that his ministry is working to create a qualified national base to work in the current projects of the Ministry of Housing or any future projects in general and to organize the work environment in the real estate field and related to it, to contribute to the success of the plans and programs of localization in the Kingdom and what this requires full and continuous cooperation with the relevant authorities, stressing that cooperation with the Foundation will result in cooperation in various fields of research, training, technology and development, and seeking to develop and support frameworks of understanding and exchange experiences in areas of joint cooperation.

Evolving strategy

For his part, the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Fahid, said that this partnership with the Ministry is part of the Corporation's strategy by seeking to bridge the gap between training outputs and the labor market's need, develop training fields in the Kingdom, and raise coordination and partnership with all public and private sector employers, in line with the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Al Fahid explained that the signing of the memorandum with the Ministry will contribute to cooperation and work to establish a strategic relationship that includes training at its various levels, exchange of experiences and benefit from the capabilities available to both parties and benefit from the facilities, buildings and human resources agreed upon between the two parties in implementing cooperation programs, we are pleased to make this agreement.

A platform for youth qualification

The terms of the memorandum included that the Ministry of Housing and the Foundation support the existing Saudi Real Estate Institute "as a non-profit entity" to be a platform for qualifying youth to occupy available jobs in the real estate sector, in addition to designing appropriate courses related to the work and installation of modern building systems targeted by the Ministry, provided that the programs offered are in accordance with what is followed by the Foundation in this regard and according to its competence.

Courses and programs for capacity building

The Foundation is working on organizing and holding training courses and programs that contribute to increasing the percentage of Saudis in the construction sector and specialized technical works and supporting the Housing Builders Program, which is one of the Ministry's programs to qualify contractors and raise their capabilities.

It is worth mentioning that the memorandum of cooperation in training citizens in the real estate sector is part of the many initiatives of the Technical Training Corporation to hold partnerships with the government and private sector to provide training programs needed by the employment sectors and ensure suitable job opportunities for Saudis of both sexes.
