Under the patronage of the Governor of the Riyadh Region, the Riyadh Shopping Festival kicks off today with the participation of 16 shopping malls

With the participation of 16 shopping centers, the Riyadh Shopping and Entertainment Festival (1438 AH–2017 AD) in its 13th edition, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, at Al-Hamra Mall. The festival will run for one month.

On this occasion, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce—the festival’s organizer—extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques —may God protect him—as well as to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Governor of Riyadh Region, the wise government, and the noble Saudi people on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, wishing health and success to the Arab and Islamic nations.

Al-Rajhi stated that the festival’s main objective is to present a positive image of the capital, highlight its significant role in marketing and tourism in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, to generate significant economic growth, and to serve as a suitable destination for visitors and guests to spend enjoyable times while savoring Riyadh’s evening atmosphere. He explained that participating entities will offer a variety of entertainment and commercial programs totaling more than150 events spread across various commercial and entertainment centers, in addition to a number of events in open-air venues.

Al-Rajhi added that the festival will reinforce the established perception that the capital is the top choice for shopping and entertainment, and that it hosts the largest and most significant gathering of seasonal sales from the Kingdom’s leading brands.

He expressed his gratitude to the sponsors and praised their role in the success of the festival and its programs, He also thanked the festival’s sponsors and supporters, foremost among them the General Entertainment Authority and the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, as well as other government agencies supporting the festival and its activities.
