The main Saudi stock index closed higher on Thursday amid trading volume of 3.5 billion riyals, gaining 6.84 points to close at 7,313.42 points, while the number of shares traded exceeded 171 million, spread across more than 78,000 transactions, with the shares of 87 companies rising in value and those of 80 companies closing lower.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Parallel Stock Index (Nomu) closed today down 46.72 points at 3,595.75 points, with trading volume totaling 7 million riyals, with more than 227,000 shares traded across 407 transactions.
In terms of movement on the main Saudi stock index, shares of Research and Marketing, Printing and Packaging, Al-Ittihad Commercial, Al-Ahli Takaful, and Tihama were the top gainers, while shares of Al-Lujain, Namaa Chemicals, Saudi Pipes, Southern Cement, and Extra were the biggest losers in trading, with gains and losses ranging from 9.94% to 1.99%.
Meanwhile, shares of Dar Al-Arkan, Al-Inmaa, Al-Rajhi, Al-Jazira, and Printing and Packaging were the most actively traded by volume, and shares of Al Rajhi, Al-Inmaa, SABIC, Dar Al-Arkan, and Research and Marketing were the most active by value.
