The Cabinet's decision last week to establish the Energy Industrial City in the Eastern Province was met with great satisfaction in economic circles in the Kingdom in general and the Eastern Province in particular, due to its ability to attract foreign investments and national capital, as well as provide a large number of job opportunities for Saudi youth from the region and the Kingdom as a whole, indicating the importance of the industrial component and the expansion of industrial sectors in the country
. <In the same regard, Abdulrahman Al-Attishan, President of the Eastern Chamber, praised the arrangements that accompanied the decision to establish the energy city, explaining that the order of implementation axes within the decision reflects positively on the efficiency and effectiveness of performance and enhances the values of transparency, starting with the allocation and selection of the land on which the new city will be built with an area of 50 square kilometers. Aramco will establish a company to develop the city's infrastructure, manage its fixed assets and establish an operating company to manage and maintain them, and arrange for the transfer of ownership of the fixed assets developed in the city to the developer after the completion of the establishment process.
The President of the Eastern Chamber pointed out that the city will represent a strong pillar of the national economy, as it serves as an infrastructure for industrial integration and maximizing the added value of raw materials, in addition to its many investment options characterized by its rapid growth potential, pointing out that the industrial sector in its diversity and as the locomotive of economic and social development is a key pillar in supporting our national options to diversify the sources of the national economy and achieve our development goals in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Al-Attishan directed Al-Attishan to establish an operating company to manage and maintain it, ending with arranging the transfer of ownership of the fixed assets to be developed in the city to the developer company after the incorporation of the company. Al-Attishan thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for their interest in industrial projects in the Eastern Province, which last year witnessed the inauguration of Ras Al-Khair City to make a qualitative leap in the field of mining industries.
