Saudi Arabia's pioneering public transportation projects exhibition and forum concludes

The exhibition and forum of pioneering public transport projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concluded its three-day activities during the period from January 5-7 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region and in the presence of the Minister of Transport and a large number of Their Excellencies and leaders of this sector in the relevant government bodies and authorities and a crowd of heads of Saudi and foreign companies participating in the exhibition and the accompanying forum.

The importance of transportation
In his speech, H.H. the Emir of Riyadh emphasized that the Kingdom has witnessed achievements in various development sectors, including the transportation sector because of its utmost importance in driving development, as our wise government's interest in this sector was reflected in allocating large budgets to provide various means of transportation.

His Royal Highness pointed out that the International Forum for Project Works and Transportation Facilities in the Kingdom reflects the importance of transportation projects, wishing the forum success and success, and that it will come out with recommendations that contribute to the desired benefit that we are looking forward to.
HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz drew attention to the fact that Riyadh's population density requires modern means of transportation to keep pace with the development it is witnessing, as the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project in Riyadh was approved by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which includes trains and buses, which was awarded during last Ramadan to three international consortiums.

Transportation sector and support for development
His Excellency the Minister of Transport, Dr. Jabara bin Eid Al-Suraisari, stressed in his speech that the transportation sector is a key element in the development of the infrastructure necessary for social and economic development, and that providing passenger transportation services to all segments of society is a requirement and responsibility that countries have worked to achieve through the establishment of public transport systems and the enactment of legislation, policies and regulations facilitating its establishment, continuity and availability to all, indicating that the Ministry has studied the current situation of the public transport sector and reviewed international experiences and modern technologies in order to provide a service that meets the needs of society and complies with the highest security and safety standards, as these efforts culminated in issuing resolutions.

Effective participation
The exhibition witnessed a strong presence of government sectors and bodies supervising future public transportation projects (metro - trains - stations - supporting services) within Saudi cities or between different regions, as well as the mega projects approved for the railway network and lines, which were presented at this exhibition by a group of government agencies, bodies and institutions, including the General Organization for Railways, the Ministry of Transport, the Supreme Authority for the Development of Riyadh City and Taif Governorate Municipality, in addition to international alliances that have already won contracts to implement some of these projects or are looking to enter into competition and partnerships to obtain future projects. <The exhibition and forum witnessed the participation of large local and international sectors, companies and alliances that invest in the design, implementation and construction of public transportation facilities and modes, within cities and between regions, represented by metro networks, rail lines, passenger stations, transportation means, buses and other logistics services, as well as national factories and companies that will supply their products and services to alliances and companies involved in the implementation of these projects.
Exhibition Forum

An official source at Ramtan Exhibitions and Conferences explained that the success of the first edition of the exhibition and forum, which is the first of its kind, encouraged the decision to reorganize it in the next edition of 2015, which will be at the end of January, after most government agencies, alliances and international and local companies participating in the exhibition and forum expressed their desire to be present and participate in the next editions of it to enhance the presence of these pioneering projects in public transport and their huge investments.

Amlak Real Estate Newspaper participated in the activities of the exhibition, where it set up its own pavilion, through which it covered the work and activities of the exhibition and the accompanying forum, and the newspaper's team in charge of the exhibition work conducted a number of dialogues and meetings with a number of businessmen participating in the forum.
The ”Amlak” pavilion was admired by visitors and participants, as the pavilion remained throughout the duration of the forum and witnessed a large turnout of visitors and participants.

HH the Emir of Riyadh honored the sponsors of the forum and gave them souvenirs, and HH the Emir also received a souvenir gift from the exhibition's organizing committee. His Highness also inaugurated the exhibition and forum of leading public transport projects in the Kingdom. His Highness toured the exhibition and reviewed the participation of government sectors, bodies and institutions responsible for public transport projects within cities and between regions, in particular the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project in Riyadh (metro, trains, stations and supporting services) in addition to a large group of existing Saudi and international companies and alliances.
