Riyadh region accounts for 47% of National Exhibitions and Conferences Program events

A report issued by the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences revealed that the Riyadh region accounted for (47%) of the events that obtained a permit from the program during the second quarter of the current year 2017, followed by the Makkah region (32%), and the Eastern region (16%), while the number of events from conferences, forums, forums, forums and workshops reached (2756).

<Meetings, training courses, trade, consumer, introductory and charity exhibitions, and the economic sectors: Healthcare, Education, Technology and Telecommunications, Economy and Trade accounted for (65%) of the business events held this quarter.

At the same time, the program included the adoption of rules and procedures for holding trade fairs. <On the same level, the second quarter report for this year included an analysis of the level of achievement of the program's initiatives, where the percentage of achievement of the initiatives specified in the strategic directions of the program reached (69%), and the Saudi meetings industry recorded a growth of (15%) in the number of business events compared to the second quarter of 2016, as a result of developing the regulatory and legislative environment for the industry, facilitating the procedures for granting visas for visiting exhibitors and speakers, and developing staff capacities.
