The Saudi Trade and Export Development Company (Tasdeer) has signed an agreement with Nestlé Logistics to work within Jeddah Islamic Port. The agreement includes transporting special goods to the deposit area, labeling the goods and matching them with customs regulations immediately upon arrival at the port.
On this occasion, Jeddah Islamic Port Director General Captain Abdullah Al-Zamai emphasized that the agreement is in line with the National Vision 2030 due to the importance of partnership between the private sectors in various fields, especially with the increasing pivotality of twinning effective economic institutions.
<He pointed out that within the framework of these ambitions, which coincides with the high rates of achievements at Jeddah Islamic Port and in line with the economic prosperity witnessed by the country and the increase in the flow of global trade, the port has been keen to conclude new commercial partnerships in order to enhance the economic strength that contributes to increasing support for Saudi companies and investors to export and import their products to the world. Speaking about the advantages of this agreement, Al-Zamai added that in the past, most international brands used ports outside the Kingdom to classify and pack their products to comply with Saudi regulations, before transporting them by land or sea to their target consumers in the Kingdom. The new agreement will contribute to eliminating previous procedures by offering companies an effective, smooth and less expensive process to bring their goods to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thanks to the comprehensive support and cooperation between the General Authority of Ports and Saudi Customs, pointing out that suppliers can now import their goods that are not exported.
