The Riyadh Municipality has returned more than 17 million square meters of land in the neighborhoods of Al-Mansoura, Tayyibah and Al-Musafat within the scope of Al-Aziziyah Municipality, after it carried out a campaign to remove encroachments and unlicensed buildings built on them, and took legal measures against them, after it notified the violators of the need to vacate the sites from the violating activities, and immediately started removing the encroachments.
The Municipality indicated that the encroachments included the establishment of irregular slaughterhouses, places for preserving and storing various foodstuffs of unknown origin, residences housing workers in violation of residence regulations, illegal livestock stalls, and other violations that harm the residents of the area and the surrounding environmental safety.

The Municipality explained that the work of removing the encroachments took about (60) days, and the various concerned departments of the Riyadh Municipality contributed in cleaning the lands from encroachments under the leadership of Al-Aziziyah Sub-Municipality and the participation of the encroachment committee, the General Department of Operation and Maintenance, the General Department of Cleaning, the General Department of Markets, the General Department of Comfort and Safety and the security campaign of the Riyadh Police.
