The Abu Dhabi government has issued a decree exempting all Saudi investors from fees and granting them the same treatment as Emirati citizens. The announcement was made during the UAE-Saudi Business Forum, held yesterday morning in the UAE capital (Abu Dhabi) under the slogan “Together – Forever.”
The UAE is currently hosting a global investment forum as part of the outcomes of “Khulwa Al-Azim” between the Kingdom and the UAE, with the aim of strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation; consolidating ties; and opening new investment channels that promote the diversification of income sources, attract value-added investments to the economy, and increase the volume of non-oil exports.
A Saudi delegation comprising more than 120 participants—including officials from various government sectors, business leaders, and entrepreneurs—is taking part in the forum.
The UAE ranks among the leading investors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with investments exceeding 30 billion dirhams covering 16 of the most important economic sectors and activities, namely real estate and construction, In addition, 32 companies and investment groups—among the largest in the UAE—are carrying out major investment projects in Saudi Arabia.
