The Secretary General of the Committee for Struggling Real Estate Contributions at the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, Hamza Al-Askar, said that the stalled contributions that are located on lands with correct ownership and planning have been completed, and Al-Askar revealed that there are a large number of contributions with incorrect ownership and some of them need judicial review.

The committee is currently examining a number of other contributions, one of which was stalled 45 years ago in the Makkah region, and the total area of the remaining contributions is estimated at about 70 million square meters, and the department documents 4803 sukuk for shareholders who have received their dues.

Askar revealed that a large number of contributions are incorrectly owned and some of them need judicial reconsideration.

The Real Estate Contributions Department at the General Court in Riyadh announced yesterday that 86 cases of stalled real estate contributions, with a total area of more than 71 million square meters, with an estimated market value of billions of riyals, have been terminated.
