The fifth edition of the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemical Industries Exhibition 2018 will kick off on January 21 in Riyadh and run through the 24th of the same month at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
This event brings together leading industry figures from the local, regional, and international levels, offering companies an opportunity to showcase their services and products and helping them stay abreast of the latest developments and technical expertise to advance their operational and expansion plans in the region’s and the world’s largest markets. It also features a number of workshops led by experts and specialists in the sector, as well as a showcase of the latest technologies and services for the plastics and petrochemical industries, which contribute to diversifying sources of income, It presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the petrochemical sector and increase its contribution to the national economy, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
This prominent event, organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited, coincides with the «Saudi Printing and Packaging Exhibition 2018,» as well as the 14th International Trade Fair for Printing and Packaging Technologies, which gives the Kingdom significant momentum and makes it a key destination for those interested in these two sectors.
In this regard, Mr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Husseini, General Supervisor of the exhibition, stated that the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemical Industries Exhibition is part of the massive industrial and economic movement currently taking place in the Kingdom, which has turned it into a permanent workshop, in line with the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that the exhibition, accredited by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), aims to increase the contribution of petrochemicals and reduce the country’s dependence on oil, while focusing on supporting sustainable local industries, and to attract local and global investments in this sector.
Regarding the importance of specialized exhibitions such as the Saudi Plastics, Petrochemicals, Printing, and Packaging Exhibition, Al-Hussein noted that these exhibitions are a fundamental pillar for industrial development and supporting local capabilities, by showcasing the growing market needs in the plastics, petrochemicals, packaging, and printing industries, noting the remarkable growth this industry is experiencing in the Kingdom’s production capacity.
