His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah explained that his ministry owns sufficient land and spaces to establish any industrial and commercial project on the Kingdom's lands, and that his ministry provides financial support up to 75% of the value of the costs of any successful project that serves the Kingdom's economy, and that all procedures and permits of his ministry have become electronic and do not require the beneficiary to attend the ministry's headquarters.

During the launch of the first American paints factory in the industrial city south of Jeddah, the Minister stressed that all the procedures of permits and transactions of the Ministry have become implemented within two weeks after they were completed within a period of six months, indicating that his ministry is working to develop Saudi non-oil exports, including participation in international exhibitions, and during this year will participate in 14 international exhibitions, to provide support and facilitation for any local Saudi company that wants to participate in these exhibitions.
The Minister of Commerce and Industry pointed out that the annual rate of Saudi non-petroleum products has increased by 12 percent of the annual rate during the past years, and emphasized that this rate of annual growth is very distinguished, and that he seeks to continue at this rate or double it in the coming years, and wished to have a greater development of the industry in the Kingdom, and to raise the quality of the global industry, and be an additional means to diversify the sources of income for the Kingdom.

Despite the relative newness of industry in the Kingdom, the industrial sector has witnessed a steady development, during which it has achieved remarkable achievements; this is due to the attention and support that the sector receives from the state, given the role it plays in achieving the Kingdom's strategic and economic goals. The state's efforts to support industrial development included several key areas, including the provision of the necessary infrastructure, the establishment of the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu, the establishment of industrial cities in various regions of the Kingdom, the establishment of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, and the provision of a number of other industrial incentives. The private sector's response and cooperation with the government's plans and efforts had an effective impact on achieving industrial development achievements.
