On a site covering 13,126 square meters, Sheikh Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Olayan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi British Bank (SABB), laid the cornerstone for the bank’s new 30-story headquarters, located along King Fahd Road in Riyadh, in the presence of several members of the Board of Directors and senior executives at SABB.
The building will house the bank’s general management offices and support services, as well as a separate building for banking services. The project was designed by a specialized international firm to be one of the most modern, environmentally friendly, and high-performance smart buildings. Construction and operations are expected to be completed in 2020.
On this occasion, Sheikh Khalid Al-Olayan commented: “This project will be a new addition to Riyadh’s architectural landmarks, thanks to its distinctive modern design and strategic location on the northern edge of the capital. This project is part of the bank’s ongoing plans to develop its other buildings to the latest standards, work to provide outstanding, high-quality services to its customers, and at the same time offer the best work environment for its employees.”
It is worth noting that since the launch of its banking operations in the Saudi market, SABB has sought to establish a prominent position among the banks operating in the Kingdom, committed to providing a comprehensive range of banking products and services to individual and corporate customers through its departments, business segments, and branches across the Kingdom, drawing on the long-standing expertise of its foreign partner and its extensive international presence, enabling the bank to offer its customers a distinctive experience and high-quality services.
