The Ministry of Housing’s “White Land” Fee System account statement revealed the time remaining until the end of the fee payment period and urged landowners to pay to avoid fines of up to 2.5% of the land’s value.

The remaining time until the deadline is 15 days for Riyadh, starting from 14 Jumada al-Thani 1439 AH; 37 days for Jeddah; 65 days for Dammam; and 273 days for Makkah.

It should be noted that the vacant land fee system went into effect on 3 Ramadan 1437 AH, corresponding to June 8, 2016, and was implemented in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Makkah.

The total area for which fees were billed under the vacant land fee program in the four cities amounted to approximately 411.5 million square meters.
