Dubai Expo 2020 revealed that Saudi Arabia's participation represents an estimated part of its projects that represent the offers of more than 180 countries, and 20% of its budget has been allocated to small and medium-sized enterprises.
This came in a speech delivered by Musa Al Hashimi, International Participants Advisor for Dubai Expo, during the meeting organized by the Riyadh Chamber, represented by the Council for Motivating Enterprises to Participate in International Forums «Tahfiz», about direct and indirect business opportunities in the exhibition, under the patronage of the Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Saleh bin Ibrahim Al Rasheed, in the presence of the Vice President of the Riyadh Chamber Hamad bin Ali Al Shuwaier and a delegation that included a number of officials in Dubai Expo 2020.

Al-Hashimi explained that an electronic platform has been launched for investment opportunities available at the exhibition, in which 20,000 international companies have registered so far, including 200 Saudi companies, and said that the exhibition will focus on innovations that affect the world, and expected 25 million visitors to the exhibition from around the world, noting that a site has been built to host the exhibition activities that can accommodate 300,000 people.
During the meeting, Al-Hashimi emphasized that a delegation of a number of officials from the Dubai Expo 2020 will be present at the meeting. During the meeting, Al-Shuwaier stressed that the meeting reflects the depth of ties between the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, and said that the Riyadh Chamber's interest in organizing this meeting stems from its keenness to support and promote Saudi private sector enterprises and strengthen their role in serving the national economy.
For his part, M. Omar Al-Shamlan, Chairman of Tahfiz, expressed his pleasure at the visit of the Dubai Expo delegation to the Chamber and his participation in this meeting, which presents the opportunities available to Saudi companies to participate in the implementation of Dubai Expo projects, which he described as a prominent event that attracts many major international companies, pointing out that the Tahfiz Council looks forward to enabling the Saudi private sector to participate actively in the realization of Dubai Expo projects.
For his part, M. Omar Al-Shamlan, Chairman of Tahfiz, expressed his pleasure at the visit of the Dubai Expo delegation to the Chamber and his participation in this meeting.
M. Saleh Al-Rasheed emphasized that the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises seeks to encourage these enterprises to seize the opportunities in Dubai Expo, and explained many of the initiatives adopted by the Authority to stimulate these enterprises and help them in the fields of financing, export and capital development.
