«Majid Al Futtaim,» the leading name in the shopping mall, retail, and entertainment industry across the Middle East and North Africa, has unveiled its plans to build «City Center Me’aisem,» the newest shopping center under the «City Center» brand. Located in the Me’aisem district of Dubai’s International Media Production Zone, «Majid Al Futtaim» is investing 275 million dirhams to complete the first phase, which will feature 60 international stores spread across one million square feet, facilitating the project’s expansion by 2020.
On this occasion, Dimitri Vazilakis, Executive Vice President of Shopping Malls at «Majid Al Futtaim Properties,» said: «City Center Muaisim marks another significant milestone in the 3-billion-dirham investment announced by Majid Al Futtaim some time ago, and the new shopping center will meet the need for a comprehensive shopping, entertainment, and lifestyle destination serving the Global Media Production Zone and surrounding areas. Visitors to City Center Me’aisem—whether they work or live in the area—will find everything they need for their daily and modern lifestyles, as well as the exceptional service for which the trusted and prestigious City Center brand is known.» The launch of «City Center Ma’isim» was first announced in March of this year, and its first phase is scheduled to open by the third quarter of 2015. Upon opening, visitors will find a diverse selection of the most popular fashion and lifestyle stores, along with restaurants, cafes, fast-food outlets, daily necessities stores, public services, and a medical clinic.
The first phase of “City Center Ma’aisam” includes the opening of a «Carrefour Hypermarket» spanning 91,903 square feet, and the «Magic Planet,» covering 6,243 square feet, which features arcade games, thrill rides, and a play area for young children, as well as a medical clinic to serve the needs of workers in the area and residents of neighboring neighborhoods.
City Center Me’aisem, located in one of Dubai’s fast-growing areas, is expected to attract residents from neighboring areas, particularly Victory Heights , «Jumeirah Golf Estates,» «Jumeirah Triangle Village,» «Jumeirah Circle Village,» «Al Murabba» Al Arabiya,« and »Dubai Auto City,« as well as employees at the »Global Media Production Zone.«
