The past period has seen a notable increase—exceeding (10%)—in the number of new factories in Jeddah’s Third Industrial City, which is managed by the »Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones , by the end of 2017, compared to the number at the end of 2016.

This was revealed by "MODON,« and Bandar Al-Taimi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at »MODON,« that the number of contracts in Jeddah’s Third Industrial City reached 522. He noted that the reason for this increase in the city—which was established in 2012 on an area of 80 million square meters, of which 24 million square meters have been developed to date, is the high demand from investors and industrialists, due to its integrated system of services and facilities, a distinctive environment attractive to investment, as well as its modern design, and its ideal strategic location near the cities of Jeddah and Makkah, as well as its proximity to the First Industrial City and the Second Industrial City, to which it is connected via a link road.

Al-Taimi noted that the growth in the number of factories in the industrial cities managed by "MODON« in general, and in the Third Industrial City in Jeddah in particular, was based on the strategic plans adopted by »Madin,« with the aim of fostering cooperation and involving the private sector in all its operations, in order to achieve the highest international standards in the services it provides to its industrial partners and investors, thereby fulfilling its strategic objectives and contributing to the realization of the National Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030.
