$5.8 billion in Saudi investments in Indonesia; 150 Saudi businesspeople are participating in the Indonesian trade fair “Expo 2018”

With 1,110 exhibitors representing 125 countries, more than 150 Saudi businesspeople are preparing to participate in the international exhibition “Expo 2018,“ held under the patronage of Indonesian President Joko Widodo, will showcase hundreds of tourism and investment opportunities during its 33rd edition, from October 24 to 28, 2018, at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Bumi Spong Damai Tangerang, located 25 km from the capital, Jakarta.The Indonesian government has invited Saudi chambers of commerce, business leaders, and a number of manufacturers and exhibitors to actively participate in this new edition, held under the theme ”Creating Products for Global Opportunities,” and will feature lively discussions among experts and economists from around the world through the Trade, Tourism, and Investment Forum and the Business Forum, It also offers numerous consultations for young people and entrepreneurs and will witness the signing of a number of deals between Saudi and Indonesian companies and participating delegations from around the world.

Indonesia is Saudi Arabia’s largest trading partner in the Middle East, with Saudi investments in Indonesia estimated at more than $5.8 billion, concentrated in the industrial, agricultural, tourism, and the hotel industry. He emphasized the need for reciprocal visits and trade fairs, which are effective tools for stimulating trade between the two countries, streamlining procedures for business owners, and expanding the participation of the Saudi and Indonesian private sectors.
