Specialists in thermal insulation and energy efficiency explained that applying thermal insulation in buildings well may contribute to fire resistance in buildings. <They said within the tips and guidelines launched by the National Campaign for Thermal Insulation Applications in Buildings (Clear Difference) organized by the Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology: Thermal insulators have varying abilities to resist fire, as some thermal insulators resist high temperatures such as rock wool, glass wool and perlite, while others melt, burn or smoke at certain temperatures such as: polystyrene and polyurethane. They also emphasized that the use of mechanical means of air conditioning helps the emission of gases harmful to the environment, such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide that result from the combustion of energy needed to operate air conditioning devices, which can be significantly reduced by using heat insulators.

They also emphasized the importance of applying heat insulators. <They pointed out the importance of applying thermal insulation in buildings, as it is an important element in increasing the life of the construction building and avoiding the occurrence of continuous thermal stresses. «Thermal insulation protects the building's construction materials from external weather changes that occur as a result of large temperature differences during the hours of the day and lead to continuous thermal stresses on building materials and the occurrence of cracks and cracks in them,» they said, as part of the recommendations and advice launched by the campaign. They added that thermal insulation plays an important role in protecting the furniture inside the building, as uninsulated buildings are quickly and directly affected by external temperatures, which makes the temperature inside the building unstable, and thus the furniture materials are affected and disintegrate if proper air conditioning is not available.
