<An official at the Ministry of Housing explained that the ministry obtains land for its projects through the regional secretariats and a number of other government agencies, denying that the ministry resorts to buying land to establish its projects on it because that would raise land prices, he said.
The Ministry of Housing official added that the Ministry of Housing obtains land not only from the secretariats, but also from other government agencies, such as state property, indicating that it is not the policy of the Ministry of Housing to buy land when the areas granted to it by the regional secretariats and transferred to it by a legal title deed to build its housing projects are not sufficient for the needs of the region, or if the regional secretariat is unable to provide the required area, citing the lands of the city of Hail, which came to the Ministry of Housing, suggesting that if the Ministry purchases land, land prices are likely to rise.
As for the Real Estate Development Fund loan, the deceased's heirs are exempted from repayment after submitting his papers to the Ministry of Finance, which makes the payment on his behalf. As for the additional financing from the banks, in which the Real Estate Development Fund cooperates with them in this regard, the Development Fund does not interfere in it because its system is independent of the banks, and it is considered a private loan between the beneficiary and the bank.“

Earlier this week, Dr. Shuwaish Al-Duwaihi, Minister of Housing, confirmed that the ministry will start allocating housing units in the Buraydah project, which includes 381 housing units, while the ministry continues to allocate housing products ”land, land and loan, housing unit loan“ according to stages until all housing products available in the list of its housing products in all regions in its first cycle, which amounted to 306,629 housing products, distributed between land, loan and housing units.
