Abdulaziz bin Salman as Energy Minister and Zamil as Deputy Minister of Industry

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—may God protect him— issued a number of royal decrees today, Sunday, including the dismissal of Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Energy, from his post, and the appointment of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Minister of Energy.

The royal decrees also included the appointment of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Bahrain with the rank of Minister Extraordinary.

The royal decrees also provided for the dismissal of Eng.Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Ali Al-Abdulkarim, Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, from his post and the appointment of Engineer Osama bin Abdulaziz Al-Zamil as Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources with the rank of Excellence. The texts of the royal decrees are as follows:

We, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Having reviewed the Basic Law of Governance, issued by Royal Decree No. (A/90) dated 27/8/1412 AH.

And having reviewed the Regulations of the Council of Ministers, issued by Royal Decree No. (A/13) dated March 3, 1414 AH.

And having reviewed Royal Order No. (A/163) dated 25/7/1438 AH.

Having reviewed Royal Decree No. (A/138) dated 20/4/1440 AH.

Having reviewed Royal Decree No. (A/472) dated 12/29/1440 AH.

We hereby decree the following:

First: His Excellency Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Energy, is relieved of his position.

Second: His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is appointed Minister of Energy.

Third: This decree shall be communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation.

Having reviewed Royal Order No. (A/136) dated 10/6/1439 AH.

Having reviewed Royal Order No. (A/14) dated 3/3/1414 AH.

We hereby order the following:

First: His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is hereby appointed Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Bahrain with the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Second: This decree shall be communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation.

We hereby decree the following:

First: His Excellency Engineer Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Ali Al-Abdulkarim, Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, is relieved of his post.

Second: Engineer Osama bin Abdulaziz Al-Zamil is hereby appointed Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources with the rank of “Excellent.”

Third: This decree shall be communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation.
