Real Estate - Private: More than 83% government employees in the under-40 age group revealed that they do not own their own home, while the percentage of young people who obtained a home through housing programs stood at 6.8%, according to an online survey launched by the real estate newspaper Amlak on its official Twitter account.
A number of respondents confirmed that rising prices have prevented them from purchasing suitable housing, even after the approval and implementation of subsidized financing programs, Employees blamed some real estate dealers for exploiting the availability of loan liquidity to inflate the value of their properties, without consideration for those with limited incomes. The survey revealed that bank financing is ineffective because it does not cover the costs of purchase. Some respondents called for the full and immediate implementation of the "white land" system to help curb prices and increase the supply of housing units.
In connection with the survey, the Ministry of Housing has begun working to provide housing services to employees of government agencies and ministries, offering special financing benefits for those over the age of 40.
Through this survey, the real estate newspaper Amlak asks why local banks do not encourage a policy of early savings for future generations so that they can establish stable families with their own homes by the time they reach their thirties or forties, thereby avoiding the survey’s findings:
84% do not own homes.
4% rely on personal income or financial support.
5% rely on parental support.
7% rely on housing programs.
