Buraydah Dates Festival kicks off amidst the largest economic demonstration in the Kingdom

The Buraydah Dates Festival kicked off at dawn today, in the largest seasonal economic demonstration at the level of the Kingdom, in the city of dates in Buraydah, amid thousands of cars loaded with tons of dates, organized by the Municipality of Qassim Region and supervised by the Emirate of the region in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Culture represented by the Culinary Arts Authority, which will last 35 days.
Where the prices of dates came within everyone's reach, amid an ideal buying and selling movement with the diversity of date varieties, which is estimated at more than 45 types, amid the application of health requirements and preventive measures in all activities related to the festival and emphasizing everyone to apply precautionary measures to limit the spread of the new Coronavirus infection.<The Qassim Municipality has created a suitable marketing and recreational climate and provided the appropriate environment for all those involved in the festival, including farmers, traders and visitors, and distributed the paths of the sales yard to marketers, and intensified quality control teams, statistics and consumer guidance for the finest dates and their varied varieties, and after-sales services Which includes finding a center for refrigerated shipping, packing and packaging dates, transporting them to inside and outside the Kingdom, in addition to the export yard for major traders and exporters, and a retail tent through which young people practice selling dates in partnership with the Khairi Dates Association, and a tent for productive families in partnership with the Development Bank.
For his part, the Executive Director of the festival, Dr. Khaled Al Naqidan, praised the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim region for the festival, and praised the efforts of the Secretary of Qassim region, Engineer Mohammed Al Majali, for the festival and the availability of the system of services to the farmer, merchant and consumer, praising the participation of the Ministry of Culture represented by the Culinary Arts Authority, and thanked the government agencies participating in the festival activities, sponsors, supporters and working committees of the festival.<He pointed out that the festival seeks to increase the marketing scope of the region's dates, attract the purchasing power, expand its circle, prepare it for the consumer and investor and export it inside and outside the Kingdom, and encourage the industrial sector to enter the date derivatives industry, hoping that the outputs will be the size of the aspirations.
It is noteworthy that the festival, in which more than 4 thousand young men and women will participate, a set of events, programs, activities and exhibitions concerned with dates and their derivatives, with the participation of a number of government, social and charitable organizations at the Palm Center in the city of dates and Dirty Country Resort, with what the festival offers cultural, awareness, social and entertainment programs that appeal to the multiple layers of society, and the date season in Buraydah will last for the next 3 months.
