The Saudi Central Bank has announced that applications are now open for the 19th cohort of the Saudi Economists Program, which is open to both men and women. a training program that offers the opportunity to study abroad to earn a master’s or doctoral degree in economics from one of the universities accredited by the Saudi Central Bank and recommended by the Ministry of Education.
The bank clarified that the registration period began on Sunday, August 1, 2021, and will end on Saturday, August 28, 2021. requiring that applicants to the program be Saudi nationals and hold a master’s degree in economics or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited Saudi or international university with a grade of “very good” or higher, or its equivalent, in one of the following specializations: (Economics, Business Administration with a minor in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Finance and Investment). Additionally, the degree must be recognized by the Ministry of Education if issued outside the Kingdom, and the English language test score must not be more than two years old as of the application date, as follows: (For graduates of domestic universities: TOEFL IBT 60 or Academic IELTS 6; for graduates of foreign universities: TOEFL IBT 79 or Academic IELTS 6.5).
The program requirements also stipulate that applicants must not be older than 27 years of age for bachelor’s degree holders and 30 years of age for master’s degree holders, pass behavioral and technical assessments and interviews, and complete the training program conducted by the Central Bank during the first year of the employment contract.
