<The General Secretariat of the Real Estate Ownership Review Committees (Ihkam) is preparing to close the door for real estate ownership applications in cities and governorates after 88 days. It emphasized that the review committees are specialized in applications for ownership of properties that were built before the prohibition order issued on 9/11/1387 AH.

<She pointed out that properties built after this date are not within the jurisdiction of the review committees.

In its response to a number of questions and inquiries, the Secretariat clarified that the financial fee paid by applicants to the platform is for the technical and administrative services provided by Ehkam to ensure the integrity of the application, complete it and submit it to the consideration committees in an integrated manner.

The Secretariat pointed out that properties revitalized after this date fall under the jurisdiction of the consideration committees. <It is noteworthy that the Municipality launched the electronic portal to receive ownership applications on the fifth of Jumada I last year 1442, and granted a one-year deadline to receive ownership applications and amend the deeds, and stipulated - at that time - that the property subject to the application should not be within the sites The property in question must not be within locations where ownership cannot be acquired legally or according to orders, decisions and instructions, including the borders of the Two Holy Mosques, holy sites and their buildings, coastal lands and sea sanctuaries, fish farming projects, borders and national reserves, lands of wild parks, wildlife sanctuaries, mountain tops, and pasture lands. Mountain peaks, pasture lands, forests, valley streams, torrents, reefs, floods, archaeological sites, reservation areas for hydrocarbons, mining, energy and mineral ore sites, electricity routes and stations, water source areas, dam basins and their sanctuaries, and public property issued with deeds of public utilities and services.
