The Saudi Central Bank revealed that assets rose to 1.872 trillion riyals by the end of last August, an increase of 35.9 billion riyals, or 2%, from what they were in August of 2020, which was 1.836 trillion riyals.

According to the Central Bank's bulletin for August 2021, which was issued a few minutes ago, assets increased by about 23.5 billion riyals, or 1.3%, from their levels in July of this year 2021, which were 1.849 trillion riyals, continuing their rise for the third month in a row, recording their highest levels in 18 months, specifically since February 2020.

According to the bulletin, assets increased during August 2021 compared to the same month of 2020, despite a decrease in deposits with banks abroad by 31.2%, amounting to 264.1 billion riyals, compared to 383.97 billion in 2020, while investments in securities abroad increased to 1147.3 billion riyals and by 10.9% from the year 2020, which was 1034 billion riyals, while other assets increased by about 45 billion riyals.

The assets of the Saudi Central Bank consist of foreign currency and gold, cash in the fund, deposits with banks abroad, investments in securities abroad, in addition to other assets.
