The Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM) has called on all its members holding “Provisional Basic” membership status in all Tawdeem branches to expedite the completion of the requirements for obtaining the Authority’s Fellowship Certificate and upgrading to “Full Fellow” membership before the expiration of this period on 17/1/1444 AH, corresponding to 15/8/2022 AD.
The Authority clarified that this call was issued in reference to the provisions of Article (40) of the Certified Appraisers Regulation issued by Royal Decree and its amendments, which stipulate that the acting appraiser at the time the regulation comes into effect shall continue to practice as a full member, provided that this status shall be revoked and he shall be required to cease practicing the valuation profession if he fails to pass —within five years from the date the regulations take effect—the fellowship certification exam or the exam administered by the Authority for the purpose of qualifying him. The article authorized the Chairman to extend this period for a similar duration, and it was extended by a resolution dated 2/2/1439 AH, noting the imminent expiration of the period, as Article (23) of the Certified Appraisers Regulation requires the Authority to strive to achieve the objectives stipulated in the Regulation.
The Authority affirmed its full readiness to provide the necessary support to those holding “Provisional Basic” membership to complete the training program and fulfill the requirements for obtaining the Authority’s fellowship certificate, as it has increased the number of courses, exams, and discussions in its training plans to accommodate those wishing to obtain the Authority’s Fellowship Certificate before the deadline expires, and has formed technical and administrative task forces to ensure the necessary support is provided to holders of the “Provisional Basic” membership.
The Authority stated that members can communicate and access all information regarding procedures and requirements for obtaining the Fellowship Certificate through its available communication channels, such as the communication system on its website www.taqeem.gov.sa, or by calling the unified number (920011244). The Authority wishes its members further progress and success, and encourages them to practice their professions in accordance with approved regulations
