The number of real estate units registered in the Owners Program has grown by more than 126,000 units across more than 14,000 owners“ associations registered on the online platform from the program’s inception through September 2021.
This is an extension of the program’s efforts to promote a culture of coexistence and protect the rights of owners and occupants of jointly owned real estate units by providing services that facilitate and regulate the use of properties, in line with the objectives of the Housing Program —one of the programs under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030—to raise the rate of home ownership among Saudi families to 70% by 2030.
In a press release, the Malak Program explained that this increase in the number of homeowners” associations resulted from streamlining the procedures for owners of jointly owned properties to register their units electronically based on sales contracts, as well as the electronic activation and approval of homeowners“ associations, in addition to addressing the challenges faced by some associations.
It reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of owners of units in jointly owned properties by providing the services they require. The program offers a dedicated page for service providers—including individual property managers and companies— and an approved list of maintenance and operations companies to register and showcase their services to owners” associations. This aims to organize and facilitate communication between owners’ associations and service providers, while ensuring reliability that safeguards the rights of both parties.
The “Malak” platform provides services and facilities to associations in all cities and regions of the Kingdom by allowing users to enter key data to create profiles on the platform, in addition to the program’s approval of maintenance and operations companies after a profile is created; to enable the display of data and services to homeowners’ associations. The platform also provides job opportunities for property managers, as well as for maintenance and operations companies in the fields of security, safety, maintenance, and building management, by allowing them to offer their services to registered associations.
The online platform showcases a number of services through the “Community” page, in addition to property managers, which include (building management, security systems, electrical and mechanical maintenance, general organization services, reception services), and other services aimed at creating an organized and safe environment for managing the common areas shared by owners within a single property.
