The Architecture and Design Authority has launched the first edition of Saudi Design FestivalDesign which is currently being held in the Jax neighborhood of Diriyah and runs from January 9–29, The first edition brings together prominent figures, designers, and leaders from various business sectors to celebrate design excellence in the Kingdom by participating in events and enriching discussions on issues related to this vital sector

On this occasion, Dr. Sumaya Al-Suleiman, CEO of the Saudi Commission for Architecture and Design, that the festival’s organizing team and the entire design community have dedicated themselves to organizing this event, which serves the community, expressing her pride in the festival’s program, which is growing organically to become an incubator platform for the creative design community.

She added: “The festival includes exhibitions, lectures, and a program of events that meet the expectations of all age groups, and our overarching vision invites all creators and those entering the creative field to come together in a space that nourishes the design community, fosters dialogue, and inspires ideas.”

It is worth noting that the festival offers free spaces to design community partners wishing to hold workshops and activities as part of the event program. Community event organizers can submit their requests and proposals throughout the festival to utilize these spaces, or until available slots are filled.

The Saudi Design Festival 2022 features a diverse range of experiences and events that explore different aspects of the design world in a creative way that serves the creative community and is led by its members, such as the “Type It,” “Air Bubble,” and “The Future in Design.”
