The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources conducted 1,027 field visits to industrial facilities in the Kingdom during the month of December to ensure their compliance with quality standards and necessary requirements.

The Ministry stated in a press release that 352 field visits were conducted at factories in the Eastern Province, and 255 visits at factories in the Makkah region, while 213 visits were conducted at factories in Riyadh, 120 at factories in the Al-Qassim region, 47 at factories in Madinah, and 12 field visits at factories in the Asir region, in addition to 11 visits to factories in the Jazan region, nine visits to industrial facilities in the Tabuk region, and eight field visits to factories in the Hail region.

The Ministry affirmed that its inspection teams will continue to conduct field visits to ensure that industrial facilities comply with the necessary standards and requirements, monitor the commitment of national factories to providing high-quality products by adhering to technical regulations regarding Saudi specifications and standards, verify product safety, and rectify conditions at factories located outside industrial cities.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any industrial facility to to obtain a safety license issued by the Civil Defense, to provide safety measures appropriate to the nature and risk level of its operations, to ensure the availability of emergency exits and a fire suppression system, and to store raw materials and products safely.

During these visits, the Ministry is committed to supporting local industries across all sectors, monitoring the quality of local products, and strengthening cooperation with its partners—national manufacturers—to project a positive image of these products’ quality and competitiveness, the high standards these products have achieved, meeting market demand, and expanding the range of products available.
