With the participation of 43 entities from the public and private sectors, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Engineer Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader, under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, the fourth edition of Future Projects Forum, organized by the Authority and featuring approximately 3,000 projects.
Engineer Al-Abdulqader explained that the Authority’s organization of the Future Projects Forum 2022 aims to deepen integration and coordination among project owners, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders; to highlight the scale of opportunities and projects, as well as the Kingdom’s future needs from the construction sector—which serves as the executive arm of the ambitious Kingdom’s Vision 2030 projects, and the primary driver of many important sectors. He noted that the forum is a unique event designed to provide project owners from both the public and private sectors with the opportunity to present their projects to contractors and those interested in the construction sector, and that all of these projects revolve around the implementation of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which requires a mature, strong, and well-regulated construction sector to operate in all fields, including housing, transportation, logistics, education, healthcare, tourism, entertainment, real estate, , oil and gas, manufacturing, and other sectors.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Jamil Qattan, Head of the Municipal Services and Infrastructure Sector at the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, emphasized that the construction sector represents a fundamental pillar of our country’s growth and prosperity, and plays a role in enabling the initiatives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in addition to being a key driver for many important sectors. He noted that the wise leadership attaches great importance to this sector, and is committed to developing and supporting the sector to achieve the desired objectives, He noted that one of the most significant developments was the issuance of the royal decree transferring oversight of the Authority to the Ministry, to support the Authority’s efforts in achieving its objectives, and drew attention to the issuance of a royal decree establishing the Permanent Coordinating Committee for the Development of the Construction Sector.
