The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has called on taxpayers in the business sector subject to withholding tax in the Kingdom to file their tax returns for the month of May by June 10 at the latest.
The Authority urged taxpayers to promptly file their tax returns through its website, zatca.gov.sa, to avoid a late payment penalty of 11% of the unpaid tax for every 30 days of delay from the due date.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority invited taxpayers from the business sector who wish to obtain further information regarding withholding tax to contact the Authority through its authorized channels.

Withholding tax is one of the tax regimes in effect in the Kingdom, deducted from the total income of non-resident entities in the Kingdom in exchange for services provided within the Kingdom, in accordance with the rates specified in Article 63 of the Income Tax Regulations.
