Experts and specialists participating in the Equities and Financial Investment Exhibition and Forum denied their fears of the negative effects of the entry of foreign investors into the Saudi stock market. They refuted the rumors currently circulating about the possibility of a backlash to the decision, pointing out that the percentage of foreign investor entry does not exceed 5% per company.
Expert Ali Al-Bahrawi said: The penalties set by the Capital Market Authority will deter foreign companies from manipulation, expecting that this step will contribute to raising the level of the market, calling for opening the way for foreign companies to subscribe to the capital of new companies.
While financial advisor Hossam Jakhleb pointed out a positive aspect of the entry of foreign investors with the flow of liquidity to the market and improving investment incentives, explaining that the presence of a market maker will curb any hot money hungry for quick gains and exit from the market.
