Al-Jazira Bank won the “Best Bank in Retail Banking for 2014” award  presented by “World Finance” magazine, an international publication specializing in finance and business and published by “World News Media” from its headquarters in London, A special ceremony was held at the London Stock Exchange, and the award was accepted by Khalid Al-Othman, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking.

On this occasion, Al-Othman said that this award crowns Al-Jazira Bank’s journey of excellence in the retail banking sector, despite fierce competition in this sector. This success story included Al-Jazira Bank’s excellence across multiple concurrent areas, with the aim of providing a comprehensive range of banking services to individual customers.

Al-Othman explained that Al-Jazira Bank took the lead in launching the investment real estate financing program, in addition to the residential and real estate financing program, which enjoys a significant market share, not to mention the remarkable popularity of its personal financing program, which reflects Al-Jazira Bank customers“ trust and growing confidence in the bank’s programs. This is in addition to a diverse range of credit cards, including cards that introduced innovative concepts and features for the first time. The bank has worked to significantly expand its customer access channels, whether by opening a large number of new branches and ATMs in areas the bank is serving for the first time, or through its award-winning electronic channels, including Al-Jazira Smart, Al Jazeera Online, and Al Jazeera Phone. The bank also launched the ”Fawri” money transfer service, which was very well received by its target audience.
