The National Program for Crafts and Handicrafts (Bara'a), and Saudi Aramco, represented by Total Refining and Petrochemicals, represented by the "Our Heritage" program, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the National Program for the Development of Crafts and Handicrafts, and His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, recently took the initiative, at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh, to sign an agreement to launch a company to finance and support small and medium-sized craft projects, under which SATORP will provide financing for the duration of the ten-year agreement.
The agreement stipulates that the company will select small and medium-sized craft projects with promising economic viability, training their owners to conduct economic feasibility studies for their projects, providing financing for them according to criteria set by the company, and developing crafts and handicrafts in line with the strategy of the "Our Heritage" initiative.
