Reports issued by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources revealed that the volume of investments in new industrial licenses for August amounted to 4.Small enterprises accounted for the largest share of new industrial licenses with 85%, followed by medium enterprises with 11%, while national factories recorded the largest percentage of the total licenses issued by type of investment with 79%, followed by joint investment facilities with 13%, and then foreign facilities with 8 %.

115 new industrial licenses

The number of licenses issued by the ministry during the month of August amounted to 115 new industrial licenses during August, distributed among 5 industrial activities, led by the manufacture of food products with 21 licenses, the manufacture of chemical materials and products with 14 licenses, the manufacture of fabricated metal products excluding equipment and machinery with 13 licenses, and the manufacture of rubber and plastics products and furniture with 10 licenses each.

9 administrative regions receive licenses

The data indicated that the new industrial licenses were distributed among 9 administrative regions, led by Riyadh with 41 factories, followed by Sharqiya with 26 factories, Makkah with 22 factories, Madinah with 8 factories, Qassim with 7 factories, Asir with 4 factories, Tabuk and Hail with 3 factories, and Jizan with 1 factory.
